SmartGroupsusesearchcriteriatodynamicallyupdategroupsasexistingreferencesareeditedornewreferencesare
addedtothelibrary.
Combination:UsecombinationgroupstobetterorganizeyourEndNotereferences.CombinegroupsanduseAND,OR,and
NOTtocreatenew,usefulsmartgroupsets.Savereferencesingroupsandthensavesetsofgroupsingroupsets.Youcan
collectbothcustomgroupsandsmartgroupswithinthesamecombinationgroupset.
OnlineSearchgroupsallowyoutoeasilyinitiateasearchofafavoriteonlinedatabaseandquicklyviewthelatestdown-
load.
FindFullTextgroupsaretemporary,andappearonlywhenyouusetheFindFullTextcommand.
Whenyouclickonagroupname,thenameishighlightedandthereferencelistisupdatedtoreflectthereferencesfoundinthat
group.

TheleftpaneloftheLibrarywindowliststhegroupsinthecurrentlibrary,alongwitharecordcountforeachgroup.Anewlibrary
mayhaveveryfewgroups.TheAllReferences,Unfiled,andTrashgroupsarepermanent,andcannotberemoved.
Clickthetriangleiconnexttoagroupsetheadingtoshoworhidethelistofgroupsinthatset.
Youcandragtheseparatorbarbetweenthegroupnamelistandthereferencelisttoadjustthesizeofthepanels.
