Adding an Adornment to the Map
MapInfoProprovidesmapadornments,suchasscalebar,toplaceandanchorinaMaporclassic
Layoutwindow.Thescaleorgeographicpositionofthemapdoesnotaffectthepositionorsizeof
anadornment,soitremainsstationarywhenzoomingorpanningthemap.However,theproperties
andvisualrepresentationofanadornment,suchasamapscale,maychangeasthemapprojection
orscalechanges.
Adornmentsaredrawnasthetopmostelementsonamap,ontopofanylabelsandontopofthe
cosmeticlayer.Adornmentsmaydisplaywithaborderandabackground.Youcanmoveadornments
anywhereonthemapbyclickinganddraggingthemwiththemousecursor.
Youcanpre-setadornmentproperties,suchasthedefaultpositionandstyle,intheMapPreferences
