Why I use PDF instead of HTML or Flash 
Consider it a “perfect storm”of conditionsof where I work and 
internet security.
At work the default security setting is to notplay local HTML 
content. This forces people to change their security settings, 
which they may not know how to do, nor do they care to.
My audience consists mostly ofservice people who will be 
working in shielded rooms that blocks x-rays,cell phones and 
wireless connections.
My service people like to have high respictures they can zoom 
in on and large video sizes that are easy to view. They also 
need to search the content and they have to have a local copy 
that does not need an Internet connection.
All this adds up to using a PDF instead of HTML.

It’s All About Objects and Their Properties 
Everything you see is an object. Text, links, button, pictures 
are all objects. Objects have properties you can access with a 
right mouse click. To make pop-up windows or roll-over 
effects you manipulate the visible/hidden property of the 
object. You commonly use text boxes for text, or buttons for 
pictures.

• You control where the files are install to
• You have a choice on which content is on the Internet or 
installed locally
•Con
• You have to be careful to keep the content updated, 
because there is a chance of older revisions being stored 
locally
• Nullsoftdoes have a learning curve 
• It is another thing you make and maintain for the project
• You always have to have a backup when developing an 
install program because it does not ask you "Are you 
Sure?" when creating, overwriting or deleting files.
