C#.NET Web Viewer Quick Evaluation

Run C# Web Viewer Demo Project in Visual Studio

After you download the latest version of RasterEdge.DocImagSDK, please do as follows:
  1. Unzip the download DocImage SDK for .NET package and you can find a project named ReasterEdgeWebViewer in the "Demo projects" folder. This demo is for your testing purposes;
  2. Open Visual Studio, click "File" ->"Open"->"Web Site", then locate C#.NET test project;
  3. Add reference which is named RasterEdge.Imaging.WebViewer.dll from the download package to your C# web project. Once you do this, dependencies will automatically be included in your project.
If uploading document is always not successful, please pay attention to the followings:
  • Make sure the Default page is the Default.aspx. Append /Default.aspx in the address bar if necessary.
  • Don't add SVGWebViewer. DLL to the C# project.

Set up C# Web Viewer Demo in IIS

  1. Unzip the download package and you can find a C#.NET project named ReasterEdgeWebViewer in the "Demo projects" folder. This demo is for your testing purposes;
  2. Copy corresponding C#.NET imaging programming DLL (x86 or x64 according to your system) from download package to the bin folder of the test project. If you have tested the sample project in Visual Studio, this step can be omitted;
  3. Deploy your C# web image viewing project to IIS server.
    1. Open Internet Information Services Manager;
    2. Right-click "Sites" and select "Add Web Site";
    3. According to your situation, set "Site name", and set "Physical path" to the place where you store WebViewerDemo. Last, set "Port" that monitors the C#.NET web application;
    4. Click ok to complete deploy your C# demo project;
    5. Double-click on "Default Document" option, and check if there is a "default.aspx" item. If not, add this item through "Add" on the right.
If you configure IIS to run and 500.19 error occurs, then it may be caused by:
  • Not registered .NET Framework to IIS. (One of reasons: install a .NET Framework before the installation of IIS.)
  • The site configured in IIS has no permission to operate. (Modify permission)
Here are some solutions:
  • cd to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727, Command to re-register net framework to the iis:aspnet_regiis-i.
  • Right-click the correspond site-> Edit Permissions -> Security -> Group or user names -> Edit -> Add -> Add Everyone usersgiven Full Control permissions.
