y RESOLUTI ON
Select the resolut ion for scanning t he original.
When sending an Internet Fax, [F INE] is always applied even if you select [ U-F INE] .
y ORIG INAL MODE
Select an original mode to scan the original for the best image qualit y.
[TEXT ]—Press this butt on t o scan an original consisting of text.
[TEXT /PHOTO]—Press t his button to scan an original consisting of both text and photos.
[PHOTO]—Press t his button to scan an original containing phot o images printed on photographic paper.
When either [T EXT/PHOTO ] or [ PHO TO] is selected, the transmission may take a while.
y TX TYPE
When sending an Internet Fax, you can only select [MEMORY TX].
This but ton can be selected only when t he FAX Unit (opt ional) is inst alled on the equipment.
y EXPOSURE
Select the appropriat e exposure for scanning the original. Pressing [AUTO ] aut omatically sets the exposure best
suit ed t o your originals. To set the exposure manually, use

t o select t he appropriate exposure.

Press the corresponding but ton for the original size. To have t he equipment automatically set t he original size,
press [AUTO].
When using originals of various paper widths, press [DIFF ERENT WIDTH].
Internet faxing sends copies of A4, LT or LG size originals in t he same size as t he originals.’ O riginals larger
than A4, LT, or LG are reduced to A4 or LT, whereas originals smaller t han these sizes are sent as A4 or LT
wit hout being enlarged.
