There's a chance that the shortcut you entered has already been assigned to one or more different commands.

In that case, you will be notified and will have the option to either use the duplicate shortcut as selected, to

remove the same shortcut from all other commands, or to cancel. Usually, it will be a bad idea to have the

same shortcut in place for different commands. But there can be situations where this makes sense, like when

both commands can typically not be available at the same time. If in doubt, cancel your choice and select a

different shortcut.

Restoring Default Shortcuts

You can always restore the default shortcut for any command by pressing the Reset button in the Shortcut

Editor. Alternatively, you can reset all shortcuts at once by pressing Reset all.

Keep your software current with the Update Wizard.

The Update Wizard can optionally be set up to connect to the Internet on a weekly or monthly basis and check

whether there is a newer version of the software. If there is, the Update Wizard asks you if you want to

download and install it. In that case, the Wizard will perform the complete installation for you.

Exporting Your Settings

To export all your PDF Annotator settings including your stamps and favorite tools, go to Extras

the .PAZ extension.

Importing Your Settings

To re-import your PDF Annotator settings including your stamps and favorite tools, go to Extras

Export/Import and click Import Settings. Select the file with the .PAZ extension you

previously exported or received from another PDF Annotator user.

Importing settings will overwrite your current settings. To prevent data loss, it is

recommended to export your current settings to a different file, before performing an

import.

You can tailor PDF Annotator's toolbars to meet your particular needs.

(Un-)locking Toolbars

To prevent toolbars from being accidentally moved, they are normally locked. If you want to move them, you

must first unlock them. You can do this by deactivating the View

Lock All Toolbars option.

Remember to reactivate this option after moving the toolbars.

Resetting Toolbars

After installing updates, you may find that certain menu items are no longer visible if you have made changes

to toolbars. If this happens, you can reset all menus and toolbars back to their original settings by choosing

The argument: <File>

will open the file indicated by <File>. If the file name contains spaces, the path must be enclosed in quotation

marks.

Example:

PDFAnnotator.exe "C:\My Documents\Test.pdf"

The argument: /print

will print the document specified by the <File> argument.

The argument: /new

will open a new document window and prompt for the page size and orientation to be entered.

The argument /new:"<format>[ Landscape]"

will open a new document in the indicated orientation. Possible values are: A0-A10, B0-B10, ISOB0-ISOB10,

C0-C7, DL, Letter, Legal, Statement, Tabloid, Ledger, Executive, Folio.

Landscape can optionally be used to indicate landscape orientation.

The argument: /fullscreen

will start PDF Annotator in Full Screen Mode

PDF Annotator requires Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista or

Windows XP SP3.

Also supported

External graphic tablets are also supported as long as they are compatible with Windows.

Limitations

We are constantly working to improve PDF Annotator and to correct any know deficiencies. Since this process

may sometimes be time-consuming, we let you know of any known deficiencies here.

General Observations

Although we make an effort to take advantage of all the functionality of the PDF standard to display objects

correctly, it is possible that some PDF documents may not be displayed correctly, or only partially displayed.

The possibility also exists that certain PDF files created with PDF Annotator may not be displayed correctly

either in PDF Annotator or in other PDF products. Therefore, be sure to save backup copies of your original

documents.

Any problems that have just been reported are listed below under "Known Problems."

If you discover a problem not listed under "Known Problems," please contact our Product

Support

. If possible, please send us any examples that illustrate the problem. Any documentation that

you send us will, of course, be treated confidentially.

Limitations

Documents protected by Adobe ® DRM cannot be opened. This does not apply to documents that are

protected only by a normal user or author password.
